New Orleans Jazz Festival

  

Every year, New Orleans plays host to some of the most notable musical artists in the country at the annual New Orleans Jazz Fest.  Upsilon Mu Zeta Chapter has volunteered annually at the Jazz Fest since 1996.  The sorors of Upsilon Mu Zeta Chapter function as ticket scanners and greeters to the local and international festival goers.  For the chapter’s services, funds are raised for high school scholarship efforts.

St. Charles 5K Run

Upsilon Mu Zeta, assist with the United Way of St Charles Parish at the annual St Charles Bridge Run/Walk. The chapter has volunteered in posting the race results and working with minor Charente at play. Proceeds from the race benefit The United Way.

Adopt-A-Road

The members of Upsilon Mu Zeta Chapter decided to adopt  a portion of Highway 51 to keep the highway cleaner, safer and litter free.  Besides offering community service to beautifying the parish, Upsilon Mu Zeta Chapter will continue to demonstrate their community pride by removing litter from this area of Highway 51 throughout the year. 

During their first highway cleanup, Parish President Natalie Robottom visited the Upsilon Mu Zeta Chapter along Hwy 51.   Parish President Robottom thanked the members for their initiative, community pride and hoped other organizations would follow with the same kind of community service.
